Jau četrus gadus Rīgas Fotogrāfijas biennāle – NEXT sadarbojas ar Lietuvas izdevniecību "NoRoutine Books", izvērtējot konkursu “Meklējam jauno fotogrāfijā!”. Starptautiska ekspertu žūrija vērtē un godalgo Baltijas valstu jauno mākslinieku pieteikumus, dodot iespēju laureātiem eksponēt savus darbus ISSP Galerijā, savukārt izdevniecība "NoRoutine Books" ik gadu no jauno konkurentu vidus izraugās savu favorītu, kura balva ir iespēja izdot paša fotogrāmatu.
Balva “Meklējam jauno fotogrāfijā!” ir dibināta, lai veicinātu jaunos māksliniekus vizuāli spēcīgos darbos atklāt konceptuāli dziļu, oriģinālu skatījumu uz sava laikmeta norisēm, atrodot un izceļot jaunos Baltijas valstu autorus, kuru darbos jau dominē šīs kvalitātes. Šogad speciālbalvu – iespēju izdot savu grāmatu Lietuvas izdevniecībā NoRoutine Books – ieguva Kristīne Krauze-Slucka (Latvija) par projektu “Materiālā visuma vibrācijas. Zelta slāpes”.
Kristīne Krauze-Slucka (1979) ir latviešu vizuālā māksliniece, kas savā mākslinieciskajā praksē aplūko un pēta cilvēka, tehnoloģijas un dabas attiecības, bieži eksperimentējot ar digitālajiem un analogajiem fotogrāfiskajiem procesiem. Pievēršot uzmanību adaptācijas un hibridizācijas norisēm, māksliniece priekšplānā bieži izvirza izvēlētā medija materialitātes aspektus. 2017. gadā absolvējusi ISSP Skolu. 2020. gadā ieguvusi maģistra grādu Latvijas Mākslas akadēmijas Vizuālās komunikācijas nodaļā. 2020. gadā saņēmusi gleznotāja Valdemāra Tones fonda stipendiju un Ziemeļvalstu un Baltijas jauno mākslinieku balvu. 2020. gadā ieguvusi “Rīgas Fotogrāfijas biennāles – NEXT 2021” īpašo balvu, iegūstot iespēju publicēt grāmatu sadarbībā ar izdevniecību NoRoutine Books. Piedalās izstādēs kopš 2017. gada.

For four years now the Riga Photography Biennial – NEXT has been collaborating with the Lithuanian publisher NoRoutine Books to evaluate entries for the ‘Seeking the Latest in Photography!’ Award. An international jury of experts is charged with judging the submissions and selecting one young Baltic artist to receive the main prize, the opportunity to have their work exhibited in ISSP Gallery, while NoRoutine Books also selects its favourite of the young contenders, giving them the opportunity to publish their own photobook.
The goal of the ‘Seeking the Latest in Photography!’ award is to discover and appraise the creative efforts of young artists who demonstrate the power of the image in their works, offering an original point of view and conceptual depth, suited to the times. It highlights emerging Baltic artists whose works are already dominated by these qualities. In 2021, the special prize – an opportunity to publish a photobook with the NoRoutine Books publishing house – was presented to Kristīne Krauze Slucka for her series "Vibrations of a Material Universe. Thirst of Gold".
Kristine Krauze-Slucka (1979) is a visual artist based in Riga, Latvia. She observes and studies the topic of changes in the relationship between man and nature, employing a mixture of analog and digital media in her artistic practice, paying attention to the processes of adaptation and hybridization, often focusing on the material aspects of the chosen media. She has graduated from the ISSP School's two-year contemporary photography education programme and obtained a Master's degree from the Visual Communication Department of the Art Academy of Latvia (2020). She also received a scholarship from the Foundation of the painter Valdemars Tone (2020) and the Nordic and Baltic Young Artist Award 2020. She has received the Riga Photography Biennale – NEXT 2021 award, earning an opportunity to publish a book in collaboration with NoRoutine Books. The artist has participated in exhibitions since 2017.
No 1. februāra līdz 27. martam ISSP Galerijā būs skatāma daudzdzīvokļu namiem veltīta izstāde “Kopā un atsevišķi”. Tā piedāvās iepazīties ar daļu no ekspozīcijas “Together and Apart”, kas 2018. gadā pārstāvēja Latviju Venēcijas arhitektūras biennālē. Izstādes atklāšana - 31. janvārī plkst. 19.00.
From February 1 to March 27, the ISSP Gallery will host «Together and Apart» — an exhibition about apartment buildings. The show will represent a part of the Latvian national contribution to the Venice Architecture Biennale in 2018. Opening on the 31st of January, 7 PM.

On December 20 at 6pm the ISSP Gallery is hosting a guided tour in the exhibition Commissions & talk with the artist Diana Tamane and curator Evita Goze - a chance to hear more about the images in the exhibition and Diana's previous projects involving her family.

Aicinātas piedalīties ģimenes ar bērniem visdažādākajos vecumos! Ieeja bez maksas.
No 16. novembra līdz 19. janvārim ISSP Galerijā būs apskatāma mākslinieces Diānas Tamanes (Latvija/ Igaunija) izstāde "Pasūtījums". Dažkārt Diānas ģimenes locekļi lūdz, vai Diāna nevarētu kādu uzņemt fotogrāfiju, ko pielikt pie sienas. Taču viņu gaume ne vienmēr sakrīt. ISSP Galerijai veidotajā izstādē Diāna plāno beidzot apmierināt savas ģimenes vēlmes.
From November 16 to January 19, the exhibition "Commissions" by Diāna Tamane (Latvia/ Estonia) will be on view at the ISSP Gallery. Sometimes her family members ask whether Diāna could take some pictures for the living room wall. But their taste does not always coincide. In the exhibition "Commissions" Diāna finally plans to fulfil her family’s wishes.

ISSP invites you to take part in the Paradise Conversations collage workshop with artists Michael Holland and Andrejs Strokins in Riga on December 1 - 2. The workshop is open to artists, photographers and anyone who is interested in the subject and in unlocking their creativity by trying out collage techniques. Apply by November 20!

No 28. septembra līdz 3. novembrim ISSP Galerijā būs apskatāma somu mākslinieces Maijas Anniki Savolainenas izstāde “Solarofīti” (Solarophytes). Izstādes nosaukums veidots no jēdzieniem “solar-” (saules-) un “-fīti” (norāde uz augu vai specifisku biotopu), un tā pievēršas fotogrāfiskiem procesiem, kas neietilpst cilvēkam redzamajā elektromagnētisko viļņu diapazonā. Izstādes atklāšana – 27. septembrī plkst. 18.30.
From September 28 to November 3, the exhibition "Solarophytes" by Finnish artist Maija Annikki Savolainen will be on view at the ISSP Gallery. The title is derived from the terms “solar”- (relating to or determined by the sun) and “-phytes” (a reference to a plant or plant-like organism), and focuses on photographic processes that are not within the visible range of electromagnetic radiation.The opening of the exhibition - September 27 at 6.30 PM.
