Open call: ISSP Riga Residency 2024

The next call for applications for the ISSP Residency in Riga is now open!

Time period: March - August 2024. 

Application deadline: February 15

The ISSP Residency is aimed at photographers and artists working with photography and provides an opportunity for concentrated work on a personal project in Riga and surroundings.

We offer:
- a spacious private room in a beautiful 3-bedroom residency apartment in the center of Riga, shared with 2 other artists;
- possibility to use facilities at the ISSP office;
- local support and contacts by ISSP team;
- a possibility to meet with local artists at an artist talk, organise a pop-up exhibition or other events;
- a letter of invitation to apply for public funding.

What we expect from the residents:
- to work on their artistic project in Riga / Latvia for the period of the residency;
- to be open to present their work to the local audience in the form of an artist talk or other public event;
- within one month upon the completion of the residency, to send us a selection of the images produced for publicity purposes.

Participation fee
The residency participation fee is 500 EUR per calendar month; a partial advance is payable to confirm the participation. Applying for the residency is free of charge. The participants are responsible for their travel and production costs. We will provide an official invitation letter that you can use to apply for public funding.
