Here are the four book dummies produced by the project participants during our first Middle Town project workshop in Trabzon, Turkey (10-16 March 2012). We made four book dummies about Trabzon and it was an amazing learning exercise.

The participants of the new project "Middle Town: Picturing the Unspectacular" have been confirmed. Dear friends, we are glad to announce an open call for applications for a new project that we will be implementing with our Turkish partners and Dutch agency Paradox in 2012! The project Middle Town: Picturing the Unspectacular will involve 12 photographers from Latvia, Turkey and other EU/neighboring countries and offer two workshops, in Turkey and in Latvia (ISSP). Applications open till 15 January 2012.

Attention young photographers from Latvia, Turkey, Iceland and Portugal! The applications for participation in the long-term project "Visual narratives: European borderlines" are now open. Photographers aged 18-35 and working in documentary genre are invited to apply till 20 May 2011.
Already a bit old news, but great nevertheless - the Nordic-Baltic Culture Mobility Programme has supported our project application and we are starting to implement a short-term networking project called “Nordic-Baltic Photography Education Exchange”. From now on, closer links with the Union of Photography Artists in Estonia, Fine Arts department (Photography) of Estonian Arts Academy in Tallinn, and Fine Arts Department (Photography) of Turku Arts Academy in Finland will be build. The aim of the project is to increase the quality of photography education through synergies and information exchange among the partner institutions. You will also have a chance to meet our project partners’ representatives at ISSP in August!
