No 1. jūnija līdz 1. jūlijam ISSP Galerijā būs skatāma SELF PUBLISH RIGA izstāde – viens no galvenajiem Rīgas Fotomēneša notikumiem, kas veltīts fotogrāmatām un pašizdošanai.
SELF PUBLISH RIGA izstāde ISSP Galerijā šogad būs veltīta pasaules apceļošanai ar grāmatu palīdzību laikā, kad ceļošanas iespējas kļuvušas ierobežotas. Izstādē būs apskatāmas ap 150 grāmatas – pasaulē nozīmīgākajam fotogrāmatu konkursam "Paris Photo – Aperture Foundation PhotoBook Awards" pagājušā gadā nominētās grāmatas, kūrētas fotogrāmatu izlases no "Africa in the Photobook", "Nordic Dummy Award" kolekcijām, Latvijas, Lietuvas un Igaunijas fotogrāmatu kolekcijas, labākie SELF PUBLISH RIGA 2021 konkursam iesūtītie fotogrāmatu maketi un Annas Volkovas un Alekseja Muraško īpaši šai izstādei veidotā instalācija “Stikla Strenči dažos vārdos”.
Izstādes laikā tiks izziņoti arī šī gada SELF PUBLISH RIGA grāmatu maketa konkursa uzvarētāji.

We are excited to announce that from June 1 until July 1 the ISSP Gallery will host the SELF PUBLISH RIGA 2021 exhibition, dedicated to photobooks and self-publishing, one of the main events of Riga Photomonth.
The 2021 edition will be dedicated to travelling the world through books (in times when the freedom of travelling has been limited) and will feature around 150 photobooks: the 2020 Paris Photo – Aperture Foundation PhotoBook Awards, Africa in the Photobook (curated by Ben Krewinkel), Nordic Dummy Award (curated by Antonio Cataldo and Adrià Julià) and Latvian (curated by Evita Goze), Lithuanian (curated by Paul Paper), Estonian (curated by Kulla Laas) photobooks, best photobook dummies submitted to the SELF PUBLISH RIGA open call and the installation Glass Strenči in a few words by Anna Volkova and Aleksejs Muraško.
SELF PUBLISH RIGA is organised by ISSP since 2014, programme curator – Evita Goze.
During the exhibition, we will announce the winners of the SELF PUBLISH RIGA 2021 open call.

In cooperation with Latvian Museum of Photogrpahy we are pleased to present a series of two artist talks: American photographer Jen Davis and Polish photographer, a founding partner of Sputnik Photos Jan Brykczyński will present their work in Riga on September 23 and 24. Welcome!
Two ISSP 2014 masters, renowed photographers Yurie Nagashima (Japan) and Mark Steinmetz (USA) will present their work in Riga - on Tuesday 12th August 6 pm, at The Mill. All photography lovers are welcome!
We cordially invite all photography lovers to explore the results of the ISSP 2014 at the final Exhibition in Kuldīga! The group show of ISSP participants' works will be on display until September 14 in Kuldīga Arts hall. Opening: Saturday, 9 August, 7pm - welcome!
Traditionally, the ISSP will offer a series of fascinating evening presentations and talks by the masters and participants at the ISSP campus in Pelči, Kuldīga district from Sunday August 3 until Saturday August 9. The evening programme is free of charge - all photography lovers are welcome!

Self Publish Riga contest results announced! Congratulations to Top Ten and the winners - Alessia Bernardini (“Becoming Simone”), Mafalda Rakoš, Iuna Vieira& Raphael Reichl (“3rd Generation”), Līva Rutmane (“Chomsky”) and Alvaro Deprit (“Dreaming Leone”), as well as Antalis Award recipients Luīze Pētersone (“House in the woods”) and Anna Volkova (“Temporary need”)!
The programme of talks and presentations for SELF PUBLISH RIGA, one of the central events of the Riga Photomonth 2014, is online. On 9 - 11 May, Riga will host over 15 international guests speaking about photobooks and self/publishing, 9 book collections, shortlisted dummies from the Self Publish Riga contest and a pop-up bookstore - a festival within the festival!
Applications are open for Artist's Book Workshop with Nico Baumgarten, from 3-7 May in Riga! Photographers, illustrators, graphic artists and other creatives with projects ready for presentation in form of a book are welcome to apply by 1st April!
