Self Publish Riga 2018 winners announced!

We're excited to announce the winners of the Self Publish Riga 2018 dummy contest! Congratulations to the prizewinners and Top Ten and a big thanks to all those who submitted their books - we received over 100 entries from 26 countries of the world. The complete shortlist of selected is on view at the ISSP Gallery as part of Self Publish Riga 2018 & Riga Photomonth until June 3 (the full list will also be published online soon).

First Prize - "Daffodil" by Bahadir Aksan (Turkey) 

The winner of the first prize will have their book published in colaboration with Kaunas Photography GalleryPrinting house KOPA and Antalis 

Jury Special Mention - "Y Minsk" by Alexey Naumchik (Belarus)

Best of Baltic - "Olga" by Zanda Puče (Latvia)

The author of the best dummy from the Baltic states will be awarded a free place at the International Summer School of Photography 2018

Self Publish Riga winners announced!

Self Publish Riga contest results announced! Congratulations to Top Ten and the winners - Alessia Bernardini (“Becoming Simone”), Mafalda Rakoš, Iuna Vieira& Raphael Reichl (“3rd Generation”), Līva Rutmane (“Chomsky”) and Alvaro Deprit (“Dreaming Leone”), as well as Antalis Award recipients Luīze Pētersone (“House in the woods”) and Anna Volkova (“Temporary need”)!


The programme of talks and presentations for SELF PUBLISH RIGA, one of the central events of the Riga Photomonth 2014, is online. On 9 - 11 May, Riga will host over 15 international guests speaking about photobooks and self/publishing, 9 book collections, shortlisted dummies from the Self Publish Riga contest and a pop-up bookstore - a festival within the festival!

Artist's Book Workshop

Applications are open for Artist's Book Workshop with Nico Baumgarten, from 3-7 May in Riga! Photographers, illustrators, graphic artists and other creatives with projects ready for presentation in form of a book are welcome to apply by 1st April!
