The participants of the new project "Middle Town: Picturing the Unspectacular" have been officially confirmed. The photographers selected from numerous applicants are: Diana Tamane, Iveta Vaivode, Ieva Epnere and Artis Silenieks from Latvia, Muge Yilmaz, Volkan Kiziltunc, Yigit Tanel Kacar and Zeynep Beler from Turkey, Nico Baumgarten from Germany, Michela Palermo from Italy, Karolina Wojtasik from Poland and Andris Feldmanis from Estonia.
This group will from now on venture together into picturing the unspectacular in their countries and meet for the first time in Trabzon/Turkey on 10-17 March.

The World Press Photo exhibition will finally visit Riga from 14 May till 2 June, hosted by ISSP in cooperation with NGO Ascendum. We are starting a new long-term project Contemporary Self Portraits and Portaits. For two years, a extensive collection of self-portraits and portraits of the inhabitants of Riga will be developed in cooperation with local and foreign artists; the results presented to the public in an exhibition in 2014!
