Good morning! The process of careful ISSP participants selection is now completed, and the list of the 60 photographers who will be offered places in Workshops 1-5 is online! Together with the Borderlines workshop, ISSP 2011 will host 72 photographers from 24 countries of the world. The list will be adjusted pending participants confirmations. We will inform all the applicants by email shortly.
The selection for "Visual narratives: European Borderlines" project is now over and we are happy to announce 12 project participants: Andrejs Strokins, Ilze Vanaga, Reinis Hofmanis (Latvia), Ahmet Can Boyan, Cemil Batur Gökçeer, Sevim Sancaktar (Turkey), Ana Catarina Pinho, André Príncipe, Tiago Casanova (Portugal), Hallgerdur Hallgrimsdottir, Heida Helgadottir, Valdis Thor (Iceland). Now, this is not a 1st April joke, its official: the ISSP international summer school is moving to Kuldīga! Though it all happened a little suddenly, we are happy with the new situation. The new location, Pelči boarding school, is 4 km away from town, so we’ll keep all the intimacy of the campus. Kuldīga is a gem and a runner up UNESCO world heritage site, it will for sure charm everyone.
Besides, we will have a real castle all for ourselves - imagine ! :)
