No 5. marta līdz 8. maijam ISSP Galerijā skatāma Rīgas Fotogrāfijas biennāles - NEXT 2019 balvas "Meklējam jauno fotogrāfijā!" 2019 uzvarētājas Annijas Muižules izstāde “Priecīgi uzņēmēji izklaidējas birojā”.
Izstādes atklāšana notika 4. martā, tajā savus darbus prezentēja visi pieci balvas finālisti: Georgs Avetisjans (LV), Hedi Janso (EE), Mari Lēna Kīpli (EE), Annija Muižule (LV) un Āps Tepers (EE).
Rīgas Fotogrāfijas biennāles balva 2019. gadā tika pasniegta trešo reizi. Tās mērķis ir atklāt un novērtēt Baltijas jaunos māksliniekus, kuri savos darbos demonstrē attēla spēku, piedāvā oriģinālu, laikmetam atbilstošu skatījumu un konceptuālu dziļumu.
From March 5 to May 8, the ISSP Gallery is hosting the exhibition of the winner of Riga Photography Biennial Award 2019 "Seeking the Latest in Photography!" Annija Muižule "Joyful Businessmen Having Fun in the Office".
During the Opening event on March 4, all five Award finalists - Georgs Avetisjans (LV), Hedi Jansoo (EE), Mari-Leen Kiipli (EE), Annija Muižule (LV) and Aap Tepper (EE) - presented their work.
In 2019 the Riga Photography Biennial award "Seeking the Latest in Photography!" will be presented for the third time. The award was established with the aim of discovering and introducing to the broader public young Baltic artists who have managed to represent original and conceptually well-developed perspectives on the processes of their time.
We all try again and are looking forward to host Aaron Shuman in Riga this weekend, provided no more volcano surprises coming up. The lecture “Whatever Was Splendid: New American Photographs” will take place at kim? at 19:00 on Saturday 1 May 2010.
In framework of US culture month in Riga “Made in USA“, we are pleased to invite applications to an ISSP-runworkshop Aesthetics of nostalgia by a great photographer, editor, writer and curator Aaron Shuman. The workshop shall take place on 17-18 April 2010, at kim? Riga.
The two days course combines lectures, critique, and individual photographing by participants to explore in depth the subject of NOSTALGIA. See complete workshop description here, and apply till 15 April!

You are most welcome to attend the ISSP 2009 Exhibition at Goethe Institute Riga (Torņu iela 1, entrance from Klosteru iela). The Exhibition is open Mondays-Fridays 09:00 – 20:00, Saturdays: 09:00 – 15:30, till 31 January 2010!

We have launched a new activity - a series of ISSP club meetings in Riga! The club evenings will take place with an approximate regularity of every second week. In the programme: ISSP participants’ presentation of completed or ongoing projects, invited artists’ talks, and a special selection of photography-related movies. The main motivation is to keep up the contacts and networking among the ISSP participants.
