Middle Town project participants

The participants of the new project "Middle Town: Picturing the Unspectacular" have been confirmed. The selected photographers are:  Diāna Tamane, Iveta Vaivode, Ieva Epnere and Artis Silenieks from Latvia, Muge Yilmaz, Volkan Kiziltunc, Yigit Tanel Kacar and Zeynep Beler from Turkey, Nico Baumgarten from Germany, Michela Palermo from Italy, Karolina Wojtasik from Poland and Andris Feldmanis from Estonia. Congratulations guys!

 

Call for applications: Middle Town

Dear friends, we are glad to announce an open call for applications for a new project that we will be implementing with our Turkish partners and Dutch agency Paradox in 2012! The project Middle Town: Picturing the Unspectacular will involve 12 photographers from Latvia, Turkey and other EU/neighboring countries and offer two workshops, in Turkey and in Latvia (ISSP). Applications open till 15 January 2012.

Call for applications: EIN Lab: Interact!

Jauniem fotogrāfiem, kam interesē konceptuāla un eksperimentālā fotogrāfija! Izsludināta pieteikšanās uz 3 nedēļu foto-rezidenču programmu Berlīnē: EIN Lab: Interact! No Latvijas var piedalīties četri dalībnieki. Pieteikumus gaidam līdz 31.12.2011.

Visual narratives: European borderlines participants

The selection for "Visual narratives: European Borderlines" project is now over and we are happy to announce 12 project participants: Andrejs Strokins, Ilze Vanaga, Reinis Hofmanis (Latvia), Ahmet Can Boyan, Cemil Batur Gökçeer, Sevim Sancaktar (Turkey), Ana Catarina Pinho, André Príncipe, Tiago Casanova (Portugal), Hallgerdur Hallgrimsdottir, Heida Helgadottir, Valdis Thor (Iceland). Our sincere congratulations!!! 

Nordic-Baltic photography education exchange project

Already a bit old news, but great nevertheless - the Nordic-Baltic Culture Mobility Programme has supported our project application and we are starting to implement a short-term networking project called Nordic-Baltic Photography Education Exchange. From now on, closer links with the Union of Photography Artists in EstoniaFine Arts department (Photography) of Estonian Arts Academy in Tallinn, and Fine Arts Department (Photography) of Turku Arts Academy in Finland will be build. The aim of the project is to increase the quality of photography education through synergies and information exchange among the partner institutions. You will also have a chance to meet our project partners’ representatives at ISSP in August!

ISSP saistītais projekts Alfa Foto Lab ir izsludinājis on-line izglītības programmu un konkursu jauno fotogrāfu - Latvijas profesionālo un augstāko izglītības iestāžu studentu- radošiem projektiem.
