AGREEMENT TO PARTICIPATE

Participation fee
ISSP participation fee includes workshop tuition and portfolio reviews, 8 days accommodation at the campus, full board (3 meals per day) and local transportation during the workshop.

ISSP is a non-profit organization which aims to support the advancement of talented young photographers from Latvia and adjoining region. Therefore, a limited number of participation fee subsidies will be awarded for qualified participants from Latvia, Eastern Europe and CIS who for objective reasons cannot afford to pay the full fee. In order to qualify for the fee subsidy, your application - background, motivation and portfolio - must be above average in quality.

Accommodation
Dormitory-style accommodation at the ISSP campus in Pelči boarding school is included in the participation fee: basic shared bedrooms (4 to 10 persons) with shared bathrooms. Alternatively, you can arrange accommodation yourself in a hotel or one of the family-owned guesthouses in Kuldīga. In this case, you would have to take care of the regular transport to the ISSP site yourself (possible if you have a car). The participation fee is equal in both cases.

ISSP RULES

The participants of the International Summer School of Photography (ISSP) must undertake to respect the following rules:

* To take part in the ISSP programme for its entire duration.

* To create a project of minimum 3 prints for the ISSP final exhibition and to submit electronic versions thereof by the end of the workshop. 

* Copyrights: The ISSP final works will remain the property of the authors and NGO ISSP, which reserves the right to reproduce them for non-profit publicity purposes, with due referral to the authors. The ISSP exhibition prints will remain the property of NGO ISSP.

* To treat with due respect fellow participants and staff, the staff and inhabitants of the boarding school and the neighborhood, animals and other living beings.

* To treat the facilities, equipment and materials provided by the ISSP and the boarding school with care; to leave the working places in proper condition after use.

* To take due care of their personal belongings - the organizers do not assume responsibility for equipment or other personal belongings.

* To take due care of themselves, particularly in respect to safety precautions in the labs, swimming places, etc - the organizers do not assume responsibility for health and security of the participants.

* To pay the advance of the participation fee in advance of the workshop, and the remaining part upon the registration to the ISSP on-site.
